Production Design for Low Budget Film

I recently made a short film called "Art Space" with my friends. Sets were designed and built with very little money to do so. Much of the materials were salvaged items from the street and others were scraps in my shop. I converted my shop into a makeshift soundstage complete with a 2x4 and broomstick lighting grid. Craft services was off to the side on my table saw.
I made a paper mache tree, a mobile, cut out paper birds and a lot of other props & set pieces with found materials. It just goes to show that a lot of great things can be made and found with very little expense to anything but the imagination.

Lobster Crown Moulding Update

A while back, I wrote about some plastic lobster medallions I was casting for an architects personal residence in Maine.
150 lobsters and a little more than a year later, they're up!
Installed by Mac Patterson himself (of Austin, Patterson, Disston).
Mac and the painter are so happy with the results, that they're planning on featuring the crown moulding in more rooms of the house.
Ahh...the fruits of labor are lobster flavored.
